Getting Started
A postpartum doula supports the whole family: recovery, emotional wellbeing, household. A newborn care specialist focuses on expert infant care. I’m both, which means you get comprehensive support without hiring two separate people.
I provide non-medical support focused on helping you recover, learn, and adjust. That includes hands-on newborn care, feeding support (breastfeeding, bottle, pumping, or combination), light housework, emotional support, and education on everything from diapering to reading your baby’s cues. Think of me as your postpartum teammate.
Light daily tasks while your baby is content and safe: dishes, a load or two of laundry, tidying common areas, wiping counters, making beds, trash and recycling. I can also prep simple meals and run short errands within about 5 miles. Deep cleaning, organizing projects, yard work, and pet care are outside my scope.
All of them. Breastfeeding, chestfeeding, formula, combination, pumping. I help with latch basics, paced bottle feeding, pumping routines, and milk storage. For more complex concerns, I’ll connect you with an IBCLC.
I use gentle, evidence-based sleep shaping, not cry-it-out. I work with your baby’s cues and your comfort level to build healthy sleep habits from the start. As a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, this is built into every engagement. You won’t need a separate sleep consultant.
